Environmental Innovations for Energy and Industry of Ohio, LLC, Develops Agriculturally-Based Soy Se
Sidney, OH November 4, 2004 -- Environmental Innovations for Energy and Industry of Ohio, LLC (EIEIO) has begun to distribute an emulsified road preservation product made with environmentally friendly soybean oil instead of petroleum oil.
"With the latest escalations in petroleum oil prices, as well as the many nationwide initiatives to end our dependency on non-renewable resources and foreign oil, SoySeal provides an innovative and viable option for road maintenance and preservation with the added benefit of stimulating the agricultural economy." commented Mike Freisthler, (President) EIEIO.
SoySeal is formulated with natural soy oils to seal an asphalt pavement surface from moisture intrusion and to restore the flexibility of a pavement. Independent laboratory testing done by Bowser-Morner, Inc., a multi-disciplined consulting engineering and analytical firm, shows that SoySeal improves the viscosity, penetration, and stability of a pavement and can increase road life by up to five years with one application.
SoySeal prevents moisture and other harmful oxidizing agents from penetrating pavements. From the beginning of the pavement lifecycle, asphalt loses oils during the manufacturing and application process. SoySeal can be a cost-effective way to extend pavement life and control the rising costs of road maintenance programs.
Environmental Innovations for Energy and Industry of Ohio, LLC, was created to provide low cost, long lasting, agriculturally based solutions for road maintenance. EIEIO introduced SoySeal in 2004 and will introduce SoySeal II, which will be modified with an asphalt binder, in 2005. For further information, contact Mike Freisthler (President) at 937-498-4802.
