Purpose:
To teach the fundamentals of Outcome Based Quality Improvement, the designated continuous quality improvement process for home health care in an effort to support development of quality improvement programs in home health agencies.

- Explain the components of OBQI
- Interpret outcome reports for the selection of appropriate target outcomes and target outcome selection
- Develop methods for evaluating clinical care as it relates to specific outcomes
- Create a plan of action that focuses on a specific target outcome
- Identify approaches for implementing and monitoring the plan of care
