Box 15 Seeking Nominations for Annual "Larry Parlett Distinguished County Fire Service Award"

Dear Chief,

The Box 15 Club, Inc. is requesting your help in selecting an individual who will be honored this year when we convey the twelfth Annual “Larry Parlett” Distinguished County Fire Service Award.  All Central Ohio Fire Chiefs are invited to submit nominations for this award.

We feel certain that there may be a firefighter, lieutenant or captain in your command who fulfills this criteria and who is deserving of this honor.  We hope you will take the time to tell us why, on the enclosed form.  Please select at least one individual under your command who you feel should be honored.  The nomination criteria are as follows:

• Professional Skills
• Professional Appearance
• Demonstrated Ability
• Dedication to the Fire Service

In addition to these measures, your nominee should exhibit the following characteristics on a continuing basis:

• Courtesy
• Professionalism
• Dependability

The successful candidate will be presented the award at the Annual Box 15 Recognition Dinner, currently planned for Sunday, April 10, 2016 (3 Unit) at Station 67; 379 W. Broad Street, Columbus.

All completed forms are to be returned via the Fire Chiefs Association of Central Ohio, Attention: Chief Scott Skeldon, no later than Tuesday, February 9, 2016.  Chief Skeldon has graciously agreed to serve as our contact person for all nominations.  All Chiefs will be notified as to the winner of the award as soon as the individual has been chosen by the Box 15 Awards Selection Committee.  The recipient will be advised, in writing, by Box 15.

Your participation in this effort is greatly appreciated and we look forward to the challenge of selecting one honoree from the many deserving nominations we are sure to receive.
