Firefighter/Paramedic (Full time)

Clearcreek Fire District

Clearcreek Fire District is currently accepting applications for an eligibility list for Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic. All testing must be completed by 4PM on July 9, 2015. The department requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account. The PHQ must be completed by the closing date or you may not be considered further in the process.

Salary Information: Starting salary is $52,085.79 a year plus excellent benefits

Department Overview: The Clearcreek Fire District is a progressive and growing fire protection district in Southwest Ohio, located between Dayton and Cincinnati.

The District is accepting applications for an eligibility list for the position of Full-Time Firefighter / Paramedic. This position will work a 40 hour or 24/48 schedule (53 hour work week) as assigned. All applicants are subject to the selection process.

To be considered, the applicant shall have a high school diploma or GED, valid Ohio driver’s license, and be at least 18 years of age. Applicant is required to have Ohio Paramedic (at time of appointment), Level II Firefighter (at time of appointment), ACLS, and CPR certifications. Fire Safety Inspector certification is desired. Successful candidates will be required to obtain specialized training such as the ability to operate under the Greater Miami Valley EMS Protocol as a Paramedic, qualification to operate all CCFD apparatus within one year (365 days) of appointment, and other specialty courses as required.

Starting salary is $52,085.79 a year plus excellent benefits. The probation period and pay scale is outlined within the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Clearcreek Fire District offers testing services for the position of firefighter/paramedic through National Testing Network, Inc. A physical agility test, oral interview(s), assessment center, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, in conjunction with an extensive personal history evaluation and medical examination to include drug testing may be conducted. Several cuts may occur during the process, you will be advised if you are continuing in each step. Dates for each step of the process will be announced as we progress.

Physical Agility testing will be conducted on June 10 and June 24, 2015. You must schedule an appointment by calling 937-748-2766. Time and location will be provided at that time.
