Goshen Township Fire and EMS

Goshen Township Fire and EMS is currently accepting applications for the newly created position of Deputy Chief of Fire and EMS.

The Deputy Fire and EMS Chief shall serve as the 2nd in command of a combination Fire and EMS Department with 12 full-time, 40 part-time and 10 volunteer members. Goshen Township encompasses 36 square miles with a population just over 15,500. Goshen Fire and EMS responds to approximately 2,500 fire and EMS calls a year with on-duty minimum staffing of 7 personnel per day supplemented by off-duty recall personnel. The Deputy Fire and EMS Chief shall be responsible for supervising three shift Captain’s as well as several divisions of the fire and EMS operation i.e. EMS, Training, Fire Prevention, and/or Repairs & Maintenance. Frequent response to fire and EMS emergencies will be expected on and off duty, nights and weekends, therefore residency in or near to Goshen Township will be recommended in order to properly function as a command officer with this department.
