Deputy Fire Chief
City of Perrysburg
Under the administrative direction of the Fire Chief, directs, manages, plans, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of the Fire Division including regulations, and ordinances in order to preserve and protect life and property in the City; manages related services and activities; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; oversees firefighting activities; supervises personnel; assigns and supervises maintenance tasks; develops reports; responds to alarms and directs firefighting operations at major emergencies when necessary and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Fire Chief.
Requirements: minimum of an Associate’s degree in Fire Science, Business Administration or related field, Ohio Certified EMT-P as well as certifications as a fire safety inspector, fire instructor and appropriate NIMS training. Minimum of 10 years as a full time firefighter with at least 3 years served in a supervisory capacity is required
Residency within Wood or a contiguous county required within 1 year of appointment. Salary range is $66,220.00 to $83,136.00 includes an attractive benefit package.
