Focused on providing leadership and oversight to improve pre-hospital services; establishing Ohio ACEP as a resource for disaster planning and management; guiding educational services relative to EMS; integrating with Ohio ITLS; continuing to facilitate public, media and policy-makers awareness of National EMS Week through the EMS Star of Life Awards.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

Focused on monitoring and influencing government policies; providing leadership for Ohio ACEP’s legislative agenda; and educating policy makers regarding issues that affect emergency physicians, patients, and the delivery of and access to emergency care.

PRACTICE MANAGEMENT

Focused on recognition as the leading resource for emergency medicine reimbursement issues and the voice of the specialty in advocating for fair and equitable reimbursement with governmental and private payers; and providing leadership regarding regulatory issues and healthcare reform policy at the state level.

MEMBERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Focused on supporting committed leaders in Emergency Medicine; mentoring and developing residents; and recruiting, retaining and involving members.

A forum for Ohio’s EM residents to facilitate discussion, network and share information.
