Next #schools2life Tweet Chat April 12 @8pm-9 ET
Tweet Chat live April 12, 2012
from 8-9 pm EDT
Purpose: To generate a needed and critical open national/global dialogue about high school students and their journey after high school into life.
Location: Twitter
Name: #schools2life
Time: 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, 8pm-9pm EDT (Launched 5/26);
Format: Six questions will be released, one every ten minutes, to generate discussion/ideas about the evening's topic.
Why: This involves many stakeholders (K-12, parents, principals, counselors, teachers, the business community, educators, legislators, and more) and we all need to be a part of the dialogue. Our first three TweetChats focused on these areas:
- Who ARE the Stakeholders? (May 26)
- What ARE the Main Concerns? (June 9) (As related to students' journeys into life after high school). Guest Co-Host, Scott Solberg, Associate Director of Career Development Research at University of Wisconsin-Madison
- What ARE the Major Purposes of Education? (stated or implied in our society)
Quote: "Students ARE our future & whatever we ALL can do to make their #schools2life journey more effective, will be our major gift to this Planet." (Edward Colozzi, 5/26/11, following the first TweetChat).
