Bret Anderson Bio

Bret is currently a Senior Trainer for the National Veterans Training Institute, a non-profit organization administered by the University of Colorado Denver that specializes in training Workforce agency specialists (LVER & DVOP) in Case Management, Military Transition Assistance, and Labor & Employment Specialist functions.  As the project leader for the Incarcerated Veterans Transition Program and one day seminar on Job Coaching for the Offender Population with NVTI, Bret is responsible for curriculum development, project coordination with state and federal Department of Labor, state and federal Departments of Veteran Affairs, and state and federal institutions of incarceration. 

Additionally, Bret is the owner and president of h2 Communication, LLC (h2C).  h2C is an Employment Readiness and Retention training and consulting company comprised of human communication specialists who focus on human interaction issues (human-2-human/human-2-technology), which can impact a wide array of life planning situations and business endeavors. Our goal is to provide real-world, active learning strategies, curriculum development products, and one-on-one counseling practices to help ex-offenders overcome and transcend personal life struggles.

We promote the development of more effective communication and critical thinking skills, enabling our customers to use or implement creative and effective responses in their day-to-day or month to month life planning complications.

Bret is pursuing his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with his dissertation focus being Offender Employment Retention, has earned his Master’s of Arts degree from the University of Colorado Denver in Interpersonal Communication and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Denver in Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism.

Bret is an Accredited Financial Counselor, A Global Career Development Facilitator, an Offender Workforce Development Specialist, and an Offender Employment Retention Specialist.

Bret resides in beautiful Morrison, Colorado with his wife, two daughters, and two sons.
