Broadcast PAC
Creating a strong presence for our industry within the legislative arena is essential. Taking a proactive approach to issues, to voice our concerns and objectives before bills enter the legislative process, is much more effective than reacting to bills well on their way to becoming law.
Essential to that presence is a successful Political Action Committee. As you know, The NC Broadcast PAC makes contributions to NC State Legislators and statewide candidates.
It is essential that we are able to support the candidates that will understand issues important to us when elected.
PAC FACTS
- The NCAB PAC is a state of North Carolina chartered Political Action Committee designed to help elect and support members of the State House of Representatives, the State Senate and Statewide constitutional offices who understand and support the broadcast industry in North Carolina.
- The NCAB PAC is bi-partisan contributing to both Democratic and Republican candidates for NC House of Representatives, the NC Senate and NC Statewide offices.
- The NCAB PAC is not the same as the NAB PAC, the Political Action Committee formed by the NAB to elect and support candidates for the U.S. House and Senate.
- NCAB PAC contributions are effective because we target candidates who will serve on critical committees or lead Statewide Departments that oversee our industry's interests including broadcasting and taxation issues, as well as government regulation.
- Your support for the NCAB PAC is an investment to protect and grow your business.
- Contributions to the NCAB PAC must be made from personal checks or personal credit card authorizations. NC law prohibits company checks and credit cards for PAC contributions.
