If you can oversee the day-to-day administration of a graphic art department, this immediate opening at WCNC-TV, Charlotte NC's Belo subsidiary may be for you. Responsible for facilitating the graphic look of the station's local programming, predominantly news, and brand identity, the position also functions as an on-line graphic artist/designer in the department's daily routine. Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills are essential. A familiarity with and/or proven track record in all aspects of television design including on-air, animation, print and set design is necessary.
 
A strong facility with 3-D – Cinema 4D or Maya, Adobe Creative Suite, (After Effects, PhotoShop, Illustrator) experience is preferred. A working knowledge of Curious World Maps, Pixel Power Clarity, Mac & PC working environment. Experience with a non-linear editing system is helpful. This position will work closely and consult frequently with the CSD on aesthetic issues as they relate to the station. A BA from an accredited university or equivalent experience is preferred.
