HARDI to Form Medical Insurance Captive

HARDI is pleased to announce that an agreement has recently been completed with Veritas Risk Services to form the “HVACR Distributor Advantage Employee Benefit Captive” exclusively for member companies.  Key benefits of this new program will be:

  • Major focus on wellness and health management to encourage a healthy lifestyle, reducing overall claim dollars and increasing potential return for all captive members

HARDI’s Health Insurance & Risk Committee and Board of Directors believe this could provide opportunities for long-term medical insurance cost controls for member companies, especially given projections for post-healthcare reform premium increases.  Due to the captive’s design parameters, HARDI must limit initial member company enrollees to groups of 100 or more employees on the medical plan, but the long term strategy is for almost all HARDI members to be eligible for the HARDI Medical Insurance Captive.  HARDI is asking all member companies with more than 100 employees to simply request a proposal (Doug_Truax@veritasrs.com) for this innovative solution to ever-increasing group health insurance costs.
