Wholesaler Memberships

Any distributor of heating, refrigeration, airconditioning or sheet metal equipment, products and accessories, having an established place of business in North America (U.S. and Canada), who takes title to the products it handles, carries an adequate stock, assumes credit risks, sells to dealer-contractors for resale and does not have an interest in a HVACR retail establishment adjacent to, or a financial integrated part of, its wholesale business, is eligible to make application for Wholesaler Membership. Additionally, said wholesaler shall have completed and can verify completion of a minimum of one year in business and shall not engage in the service or contracting of heating, refrigeration or airconditioning equipment.

Schedule of Annual Dues

The following schedule of dues, payable upon approval of application, is applicable to gross dollar volume for heating, airconditioning, refrigeration, sheet metal and related accessories for your last completed year.

HARDI's fiscal year is July 1 – June 30. First year dues, excluding initiation fee, are calculated on months remaining in the fiscal year after approval of the application by the Board of Directors.

CORPORATE WHOLESALER

Any corporate entity involved in the wholesale distribution of HVACR equipment, parts and/or accessories that operates and/or defines the business practice of subsidiary wholesale distribution companies is eligible to make application for Corporate Wholesaler Membership. Additionally, said wholesaler shall have completed and can verify the completion of a minimum of one year in business and shall not engage in the service or contracting of heating, refrigeration or airconditioning equipment. Membership in this classification ensures delivery of all association related products and services to the corporate and participating subsidiaries and encourages active participation of those executives in the association.

This membership classification provides the following additional benefits:

one corporate vote and one vote for each participating subsidiary in the business of the association
participation of one corporate member or subsidiary member as an officer or director at any given time
full participation by each subsidiary in the Profit Report, Compensation Report and monthly Sales Trends
full participation in the programs and committee/councils by all corporate and subsidiary participants
individual directory listings for corporate and participating subsidiaries including their respective branch locations
complete communication of association business to corporate parent and participating subsidiaries
In the event the corporation would elect to terminate its membership, the individual subsidiary companieswould be eligible for individual wholesale membership without the need for reapplication. The current dues schedule for wholesalers would apply.

INTERNATIONAL WHOLESALER

Any wholesaler of heating, refrigeration, airconditioning or sheet metal equipment, products and accessories, who does not have an established place of business in North America (U.S. and Canada), who takes title to the products it handles, carries an adequate stock, assumes credit risks, sells to dealer-contractors for resale and may have an interest in a HVACR retail establishment adjacent to, or a financial integrated part of, its wholesale business, is eligible to make application for wholesaler membership. Additionally, said wholesaler shall have completed and can verify completion of a minimum of one year in business.

INTEGRATED WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTOR

Any wholesale distribution business for HVACR equipment, parts and/or accessories which operates as a subsidiary of a nonwholesaling incorporated business entity such as a manufacturer, mass merchandiser, entity, energy provider, consolidator or ecommerce business, and whose corporate parent maintains Supplier Membership is eligible to make application for Integrated Wholesale Distributor Membership. Additionally, said wholesaler shall have completed and can verify completion of a minimum of one year in business and shall not engage in the service or contracting of heating, refrigeration or airconditioning equipment. (The corporate parent of the Integrated Wholesale Distributor making application is required to maintain a Supplier Membership in the association to ensure continued interaction with other wholesale distribution members.)

This membership classification provides the following additional benefits to the integrated wholesale distributor:

one corporate parent vote and one vote for each participating affiliate in the business of the association
full participation by each affiliate in the Profit Report, Compensation Report and monthly Sales Trends
full participation in the programs and committee/councils by all corporate and affiliate participants
individual directory listings for corporate and participating affiliates including their respective branch locations
complete communication of association business to corporate and participating affiliates

PLAN AND SPEC DISTRIBUTOR

Any engineered products distributor that takes title to products with assigned distribution rights, whose primary business focus is the specification, take-off, bidding, sales, procurement and supply of HVACR equipment, parts and/or accessories, and whose services shall be directed to commercial, institutional, industrial and contractor accounts and specifically excluding retail sales, is eligible to make application for Plan and Spec Distributor Membership. Additionally, said wholesaler shall have completed and can verify completion of a minimum of one year in business and shall not engage in the service or contracting of heating, refrigeration or airconditioning equipment.
