Much like we believe that HARDI distributors are the most effective and efficient means of taking HVACR products to market, we also believe HARDI distributors are the most effective and efficient means of deploying energy efficiency programs.  Our members have sold and supported high-efficiency HVACR systems and products for decades, and no other segment in the HVACR channel sees as many professional contractors everyday than HARDI distributors.  Averaging over 1,200 contractor customers a piece, HARDI distributors are often the prime source of product and program education, training, and marketing support for the very best heating, cooling, and refrigeration installers. 

HARDI is also an industry leader at increasing installation quality having helped develop the ANSI-approved ACCA Quality Installation Standard and Verification Protocols, and HARDI distributors are the single largest provider of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) testing.

CEEO
The HARDI Education and Research Foundation recently created the Center for Energy Efficiency Optimization (CEEO).  The CEEO is where wholesale distribution and energy efficiency converge.  Just as HARDI believes our distributor members are integral to the success of HVACR energy efficiency incentive programs, so too are wholesale distributors in other lines of trade, such as electrical and lighting, industrial process and automation, building and construction, and plumbing and waterworks to name just a few. 

The CEEO will become a central resource for efficiency program managers of any kind to find credible research and resources for maximizing the value of wholesale distributors in any sector.

In May, 2010 the HARDI Board of Directors approved the creation of a new membership category for utilities, government entities and agencies, and efficiency program consultants and implementation contractors call ‘Energy Efficiency Partners’.  Congratulations to Resource Solutions Group of Half Moon Bay, CA for becoming HARDI’s first Energy Efficiency Partner!

HARDI EE Partners receive all general membership communications and analyses, access to HARDI resources including HARDI economists and subject matter experts, are eligible to subscribe to HARDI’s market, sales, and profitability reports, and may register for HARDI meetings and events.  Most significantly, HARDI will facilitate outreach and collaboration with HARDI distributor members exclusively for Energy Efficiency Partner members.
