Counter Certification

What is CCS?

The Counter Certification Specialist (CCS) program provides the distributor company with the opportunity to place a test-proven professional at the counter to assist the company's customer base. Competent counter personnel can drive down the number of returned items, use of wrong parts by the customer and reduce warranty expenses thus improving the company's bottom line.

Certification is used to attest to a person's qualifications to perform a specific task or duty. Minimum (mandatory) standards have been established for each of the four levels of certification. These levels are Assistant Counter Specialist, Associate Counter Specialist, Senior Associate Counter Specialist and finally "HARDI" Certified Counter Specialist.

Getting Started:

Individual counter people cannot directly sign up for the program without their company's approval and registration. To get started each distributor company management must commit, and there are a few simple steps to get them on the road:

  1. Establish company policies and advise management and participants on the value and role of the program in your company's future.
  2. Assign Counter Recognition Training Coordinators to act as the on-site training advisor and HARDI liaison.
  3. Download the Counter Kit by clicking on the link below or request a hard copy from HARDI.
  4. Follow directions in Counter Kit, fill out forms, and send them to HARDI.

Fees

• $200.00 Member registration fee. (One time fee)
• $50.00 Employee participation fee (each)
• $15.00 Two year recertification
• $40.00 Late fee on recertification
• $25.00 Advancement in levels
