Call for Manuscripts

Qualitative Research Reports in Communication is a peer-reviewed annual journal sponsored by the Eastern Communication Association. The journal publishes brief qualitative and critical research essays of 2,500 words or less on a wide range of topics extending and enhancing the understanding of human communication. Topics appropriate for the journal include but are not limited to studies of intercultural, media, political, organizations, rhetorical, interpersonal and legal communication. Submissions are welcomed from all geographical regions of the globe.

Manuscript preparation:  Three high quality copies of the manuscript should be submitted with a detachable cover sheet including:

  1. manuscript title
  2. author's name, address and institutional affiliation and
  3. author's phone number, email and fax

Electronic submissions as attachments may be submitted in Word format. The cover sheet material should be in a separate file. Manuscripts must conform to all the guidelines of the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

Review policy
Manuscripts will be masked-reviewed by at least two members of the editorial board of the journal. Publication decisions will be based on the reviews and the decision of the editor. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration by any other journal at the time of submission.
