Jim Arnett is right. The City Commissioners seem more concerned with unanimously supporting the City Manager or various department directors than they are with the fair and equitable treatment of the local businesses that generate the jobs that allow this City to exist. We do not elect public officials to make unanimous decisions - we elect them to make their own decisions based upon moral and ethical considerations, regardless of unanimity. If the City is getting sued for not paying and, after extremely expensive litigation, is losing in Court, something is clearly wrong and needs to fixed. Instead of sitting around and protecting each other's backside, the individuals making up the City management and government should focus on right and wrong and fixing the wrong.
