CSCA - 2012 Conference - Media Studies - Deadline - Call for Submissions
CSCA MSIG members:
Please be reminded that the final deadline for paper, panel, and original media submissions is Friday, September 30.
Those of you still looking for a home for ideas might consider collaborating with the Community College Interest Group. See the panel idea from Tony Arduini below:
“I think the changing nature of Internet and free digital media is having a broad impact on society, including how students relate to college classes and knowledge. I am particularly interesting in trying to find a way to develop an open source textbook for our basic course, but there are many issues related to the idea of the “free economy”.
“This roundtable discussion will offer questions regarding “free” digital resources such as open courseware, open source textbooks, and reference works like Wikipedia as they affect teaching communication course. A recent digital publication, Hacking the Academy, http://www.digitalculture.org/hacking-the-academy/ , suggests some of the issues involved.”
