The CSCA Argumentation & Forensics Interest Group invites submissions of competitive papers and panel proposals on all aspects of forensics. Additionally, we strongly encourage undergraduate and graduate student papers. A wide range of topics are welcome, although topics that focus on connecting forensics issues across other areas of the discipline reflect the conference theme nicely. Some examples include forensics role/challenge in recruitment efforts, connecting to non-debaters-turned-coaches, Great Ideas for Coaching, comparing the effectiveness of debate and public speaking classes, and mentor sessions for new coaches/directors.
We particularly invite panel submissions of interactive and innovative presentational formats including:
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All papers and panel proposals need to be submitted as a MICROSOFT WORD attachment in the format detailed below. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. An email confirmation will be sent to you when the paper is received.
Papers
- APA format
- detachable title page that allows author identity to be concealed
- Only completed papers will be accepted.
- Remove all author references in the text of the paper.
- Students (including graduate students) should type "STUDENT" on the upper right-hand corner of the title page.
- Indicate if author(s) is/are CSCA Members.
Panel proposals
- must complete the 2012 CSCA Panel Proposal Request Form available at: http://www.csca-net.org/.
- include the following: (a) title, (b) abstract, and (c) a complete list of participants along with their institutional affiliations, contact information (address, e-mail, and telephone), and if they are CSCA Members.
E-mail your submission no later than Friday, September 30, 2011.
