Call for abstracts open for 2012 BMES Annual Meeting in Atlanta
Abstracts are now being accepted for the 2012 BMES Annual Meeting which will take place in Atlanta, Oct. 24-27.
The open period for accepting abstracts runs from February 8 until April 18.
Abstracts will be fielded through an online system available at: http://submissions.miracd.com/bmes2012/login.asp
A one-page abstract format will be required again this year. This format will allow reviewers to more effectively choose those abstracts which are best suited for podium presentations.
The abstract should include:
• title
• introduction
• description of the materials and methods used
• study results (including up to one figure)
• discussion of how this work fits into the context of greater societal needs.

During the submission process, please select the most appropriate track & subtrack from the list provided in the online system, or choose the track and "other" if no named sessions seem appropriate.

You may request to present your work in a platform or in a poster session. The technical program committee will attempt to honor your preference, but may not always be able to do so.
Presentations may be scheduled on any of the three days of the meeting. All accepted presenters must register for the full meeting.
The nominal abstract processing fee of $35 is a submission fee and does not apply towards the required meeting registration.
The closing submission deadline is April 18, 2012 and will not be extended.
Abstracts are reviewed by the technical program committee, and notification of acceptance will be made by July 11, 2012.
