MessageWatcher, E-mail Surveillance Expert, Partners with Continuity Control

Another industry leader adds to growing Control Compliance App Store

NEW HAVEN, Conn., May 19, 2010 – Continuity Control™, creator of an on-demand platform to improve and simplify the regulatory compliance process for community banks and credit unions, announced that MessageWatcher®, a leading provider of e-mail surveillance and archiving, has joined the Control App Alliance partnership program.  MessageWatcher will leverage Continuity Control’s innovative compliance technology to offer an E-mail Watcher application (App) to customers.

“Our customers are financial institutions that are addressing regulatory requirements or proactively mitigating the risk of e-mail communication,” Craig Dinan, vice president of business development at MessageWatcher explained.  “This partnership with Continuity is a perfect fit, and we’re excited about the opportunity to expand our footprint to more banks and credit unions.  E-mail Watcher users will have a key piece of the compliance puzzle that is easy to install and affordable, yet very effective.”

Continuity Control offers an innovative approach to address the overall burden and issue of ever-increasing government oversight, as well as the amount of work, resources and costs associated with compliance. The company refers to these aggregated costs as the Compliance Tax™.

“Working with industry leading partners like MessageWatcher, we have completely re-factored the process of compliance management to drive the cost of it down dramatically.” said Andy Greenawalt, CEO of Continuity Control “Continuity has done this by making it easy to get, easy to use and easy to report on compliance for regulatory examinations.”

Control Apps are customizable, on-demand applications that simplify the work of compliance by breaking it down into a set of simple steps, automating those steps and delivering reporting to satisfy oversight requirements.  The E-mail Watcher App automates the training for acceptable e-mail use, e-mail monitoring and policy enforcement.  The App also ensures that warnings and exceptions are reviewed by the designated parties and maintains compliance with core regulations, such as the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, anti-harassment, Office of Financial Assets Control and FACT Act.

“Mitigating the risk associated with electronic communications is a key concern for companies, especially with the rising popularity of social networking Web sites,” Pete Halenar, senior vice president of alliances and business development at Continuity Control, said.  “Continuity Control is selected time and again as a strategic partner by the industry’s leading technology companies in niche areas based on the revolutionary way that our technology addresses what we call the Compliance Tax.  With E-mail Watcher banks and credit unions can now easily manage e-discovery, audits and internal investigations.”
