March 31 (10:00AM) - April 1 (12:00PM), 2015

Jacksonville Chapter Annual Dinner & Florida Surgical Quality Symposium

University of FL - Jacksonville

There will be a conjoint meeting of the Jacksonville and Florida Chapters on March 31 – April 1, 2015. Dr. Gerald Healy, past president of the ACS will be the featured speaker at a dinner on March 31, and will present grand rounds at UFHealth Jacksonville at 8:00 AM on April 1. Following Dr. Healy’s presentation there will be a three hour session focused on three things.

  1. What the FSCI accomplished.
  2. What needs to be done by the surgical community to continue building quality.
  3. How this should be accomplished.

The intent is that this session be a free exchange of ideas among colleagues, and that a basic blueprint of the redesigned Florida Surgical Quality Initiative emerge as a viable and productive component of the Florida Chapter of the ACS. The session will be completed by noon, and all attendees are invited to the March 31 dinner, if travel plans allow. It is absolutely critical that every surgeon champion and SCR who is interested in continuing the great work that was begun by FHA be part of this conversation.
